IELTS Registration

IELTS
IELTS is a test of English language proficiency accepted for admission into schools, scholarship applications and gaining employment abroad. You can read more here www.ielts.org

Regular Migration
IELTS is one of the ways to migrate legally. A good number of Ghanaians has the desire to experience life overseas. These experiences have proven to be beneficial to personal development and our economy. Those who have these desires need to be encouraged and shown the right ways to have their dreams achieved. Dreams Consult supports any form of migration that is genuine and purposeful. It is for this reason that we bring to you how to register for the globally accepted English language proficiency test.

IELTS Preparation
The best way to prepare for IELTS is to enrol at a recognised tuition centre. You can also prepare for it by relying on online materials. The only disadvantage of the self-study is there is no opportunity for independent assessment and feedback. Dreams Consult is the largest and the most successful training centre in Ghana because of their specialisation and mastery of IELTS, unlike others who engage in just trial and error with all international standardised tests like GRE, GMAT, SAT, etc with just one trainer. Dreams Consult training centres are in Accra, Kumasi and Tema. We also provide online training.

ID   Requirement
You can register for the exam in Ghana with only the Ghanaian passport or the national ID (ECOWAS card). All non-Ghanaian booking the test in Ghana needs their passport. No other form of ID card will be accepted apart from those listed. Photocopies, certificates or notarized copies of these cards will not be accepted. It is therefore advisable not to register for IELTS if you do not have any of those ID cards. Also, if the cards will not be available with you on the test dates do not register.

British Council IELTS Partnership Program
To register for IELTS, you can either do it online or at the British Council website or you can contact any of the British council approved agencies. Dreams Consult is an approved IELTS registration agency available in Accra, Kumasi and Tema.

DIY (Do it yourself)
If you wish to book IELTS test yourself, then you need to have a scanned copy of your ID card available at the acceptable format. Fill out all the required and applicable fields in the online form. You can proceed to pay for the exams using online payment platforms of either visa or master card. Alternatively, you can follow the payment instructions which will automatically be sent to you.

Approved Registration Centres
If you visit approved centres (Dreams Consult and others) you only need your hardcopy ID card. After the registration, you need to take a receipt for payment if you pay at the registration centre. If you intend to pay the money yourself at the bank then insist on getting a copy of the payment slip.

Disclaimer
As there are occasional updates to the registration procedure and there are different types of the test, it is advisable to contact the British Council or Dreams Consult before following any of the procedures outlined above.
